Embrace Spring

London is picture perfect in spring, especially as the cherry blossoms and wisteria start to flourish. We recommend taking a walk around our creative neighbourhood of Bloomsbury, which is buzzing with local artists and boutique bookshops. After a long day of exploring, relax on the terrace at Woolf & Whistle bar which overlooks leafy Tavistock Square.

Charles Dickens once lived in the neighbourhood, there is even a nearby museum in his honour. All our properties are a stone's throw from the British Museum too, a must-see attraction in spring for all the family.

London weather is pleasant in the autumn months. It can be warm, especially in September. In October a jacket will be needed as the breeze gets cooler but a thick winter coat won't be needed. November can be changeable, with the temperature dropping and rain showers likely. A thicker waterproof coat is worth packing for your London trip.
Halloween is a brilliant excuse to dress up in costumes and experiment with face paints. At Imperial London Hotels we love to decorate our reception lobbies, creating the perfect backdrop for spooky selfies.

If you're going out and about to look at London's decorations, the Library Bar at Morton Hotel is particularly atmospheric this time of year. The original Victorian feature fireplace is adorned in fake spiderwebs. Or visit Botanica, in Bedford Hotel and admire the pumpkin displays whilst enjoying a cocktail with your loved ones.
On 5th November every year, Bonfire Night is celebrated in the U.K. It originates from the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when Guy Fawkes tried to explode the Houses of Parliament. It's worth booking tickets in advance to see the impressive firework display at Battersea Park or on the hill at Alexandra Palace.
