So, pack your bag, book those train (or plane) tickets and get ready to explore!

Make a Splash
Your Moonraker mattress may be super comfy, but those alarm beeps mean only one thing - it’s go time! You’re in the city of adventures. Jump up, splash your face with cold water (counteracted by a nice hot shower) for an extra boost of energy. Not only is cold water proven to increase blood flow, but it does feel good to accomplish hard things so early in the day.
Fill up on Full English
Starting your city adventure on an empty stomach isn't the vibe. Not when you’ve got access to a mega buffet right downstairs! Served Monday - Sunday 06:30 - 10:30 our chefs cook up eggs, sausages, bacon, beans and all the Full English extras – or you can help yourself to a continental spread of cereal, toast, yoghurt and fruit.

Royal National Hotel. And if you’re a budding photographer, you'll be able to take Instagrammable snaps inside!
Get Clued-Up
Then flex your detective skills at
ClueQuest by
Edward Square, just one minute’s walk from
Lightroom. Follow a series of clues in an escape room and see who in your group can crack the codes...

Dig into Dave’s Hot Chicken
Jump on the Piccadilly Line (that’s the dark blue one) at
King’s Cross tube station and exit five stops later at
Piccadilly Circus tube station, where you’ll soon reach
Dave’s Hot Chicken. This may be an LA fast-food joint, but since it opened its doors to London in December 2024, it's instantly become a big hit amongst locals and tourists. Order American hot chicken wings whilst slurping on a shake and checking out their graffiti artwork. And if you’re a pickle lover, great news, you can order an entire cup of them!
Top Tip: Grab a seat by the window to look out onto Shaftesbury Avenue and spot theatre goers going into the Apollo Theatre. Or if the sun’s out, choose takeaway and head to St Anne’s Churchyard nearby. (Look out for the segregated bins - nobody likes rubbish!)

Enter Baseball Cap Heaven
From Formula-1 to New York Yankees, find a cap to suit your favourite sport (and personal style) at
New Era on
Carnaby Street. The best thing about caps? They don’t take up too much space in your suitcase – making them ideal souvenirs.
Browse through New Era’s hoodie selection too, and layer up against London’s chill. Boasting loads of clothing shops, Carnaby Street is the place to get experimental with your style.
Did you know? Famous singer Tom Jones strutted down Carnaby Street with Bond girl actress Christine Spooner and a cheetah (yes, a real big cat) to mark the opening of Tom Cat boutique in April 1966!
Boost your Happiness (with chocolate)
Then head over to
Italian Bear Chocolate in Fitzrovia for a sweet pick-me-up. Prepare for ultra indulgence, this café went viral on social media for smothering chocolate around the edges of their hot chocolate cups. Go on, treat yourself.
Take a Power Nap
By this point in the day, you’re due some time out. Walk from Italian Bear Chocolate to Royal National Hotel, just 10 minutes away, and take a snooze. (Or scroll on your phone, no judgement.) Whether you’re taking a solo trip or with others, you’ll thank yourself later. Because an action-packed evening lies ahead, and you don’t want to be yawning through it.
Aim for a Strike
Bounce over to
Bloomsbury Lanes to kickstart your evening with a game of bowling. Offering student discounts and off-peak prices, this basement hangout also has karaoke booths for the times you just want to belt out a few
Amy Winehouse ballads.

Cheer with Footie Fans
On your way back to
Royal National drop into
